Hi everyone!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. 

It's hard to believe more than 5 years have passed since we lost my beautiful sister Sally to Meningitis.

Since that fateful day, the Meningitis Research Foundation have provided unrivaled support to myself, family and friends. Their drive to fund research into treatment and vaccines has also given us something to focus on and the hope that in the future no adults, children or teenagers, like Sally, will lose their lives to this awful disease.

In a way to give something back to this amazing charity, and as it has been a few years since my last fundraiser, I have decided to run the Bath Half on March 11!

As many of you know I am definitely not a 'natural runner' so this is a great challenge for myself and my fellow runners!  

So, please sponsor me! Without voluntary donations the Foundation cannot fund their vital work into prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis nor fund their Helpline and Befriender network. 

A big thank you to everyone for all your support now and over the past 5 years.

PS A vaccine against Meningitis Strain B which has taken years of development has been shown to be highly effective and safe. It will hopefully be licensed for use this year!

This is great news and shows that all our fundraising in the past is making a difference!!
