Story
I can’t believe it’s been a year since we lost our beautiful mummy. Those lucky enough to have known Thelma will agree she was as beautiful inside as out. Her smile and laughter lit a room up with its warmth. A true angel in life, as she is now, watching over us all.
I kept thinking of ways to honour mums memory a year on and one funny thing I kept coming back to was if mum had been granted a magic power she’d wish to be able to fly. So I’m going to fly for both of us!
…By jumping out of a plane 🪂on the 3rd September!
I’m raising funds for Myeloma UK, a hidden cancer that if detected early enough, lifestyle could be gratefully improved in living with this cancer and more importantly helping to control the pain and speed of growth, giving very valuable extra years of life.
Whilst I know bills are rising for many during these very strange times, we’d be so grateful if you could donate towards my effort and support Myeloma UK by using my Just Giving page below.
I’ll also be holding a few events during the summer so if you can join in with any, we’d love to see you there to raise a glass (of Chapel Down, dad) for our Thelma.
Thanks for your love and support, as always, Kate & the Smith family.
Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma and related conditions.Myeloma UK receive no core Government funding and rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising. So every pound I raise will make a difference to myeloma patients by helping to give them an empowered present and a hopeful future.
