Story
Breast Cancer Now urgently need your help to fund world-class research and life-changing support. By supporting Afternoon Tea this summer, you'll be raising the money they need to provide support for today and hope for the future.
I’m holding an afternoon tea on Saturday 24 August for Breast Cancer Now and Blood Cancer UK in memory of my beautiful friend and cancer buddy Sarah.
I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in April 2022 and underwent 12 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. I would like to say it all went smoothly but it’s been a bumpy road with lots of ups and downs. I’ve been left with lymphoedema, osteoporosis and fine hair but two years on I’m walking and swimming lots. I eat well and trying to make the most of life.
31 women die every day from metastatic breast cancer. There is nothing pink about that. All money raised will go to Breast Cancer Now who research, support, fundraise and campaign to support people affected by breast cancer.
My friend Sarah died last December of Multiple Myeloma. She was only 53. She had so much to live for but her treatment lines came to an end. Sarah deserved so much more she was a kind and caring person. Blood Cancer UK research, support and care for all types of blood cancers.
