Story
My amazing cousin Oliver tragically lost out to the effects of Emery Dreifus muscular dystrophy earlier this year. He was just 19 years old. Despite his condition he lead a full and active life and never let it get in the way of having fun, causing mischief or trying to impress the ladies with his suave dress sense and intellectual humour!
I have run in half marathons before; however this time I am putting all my efforts into running my first half in under 2 hours... something which I have never yet achieved but would love to be able to say I have done. Doing it in Oliver's memory and raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign will make it all the more special if I manage to pull it off.
So please if you feel you are able to support this worthy cause, give what you can to help me to reach my target and I will do what I can to break 2 hours on the day!
We also lost our other cousin Paul 1 month before we lost Oliver. Paul was such a bubbly and caring guy and we were all shocked beyond belief when he committed suicide age just 23. Although I will also be running in memory of Paul, my brother Greg will be officially fundraising for the charity Papyrus. If you feel strongly about the ever more common problem of suicide amongst young people, please visit his website and donate. http://www.justgiving.com/Paul-Gaddas25888
