'C' through September is a fun challenge to help raise funds and awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM). All you need to do is choose your 'C' activity to complete during September 2022, and raise £100

Story

Oscar and I will be taking part in ‘C’ through September for Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group and would really love your help! We will be doing a different activity that starts with the letter c every day during September to raise money for CCLG to support their amazing work raising awareness about Children’s Cancer.

Why are we doing this? Well, it’s because Oscar was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on the 25th May 2014 and finished treatment on the 4th August 2017. He was lucky and so many children are not. That is why raising awareness is so so important.

This is the first fundraiser Oscar has been able to do with me and we are very excited! Steve and Jemima will also be roped in as well!!

Please donate if you can and spread the word so we can raise as much as possible!

In the UK and Ireland, around five children are diagnosed with cancer each week. That's around 1820 each year.Cure rates for children are much higher than for most adult cancers. On average, 82% (over 8 in 10) of all children survive their cancer for five years or more. For some types of childrens cancer, the cure rate is much higher. However, for some types of childhood cancer, cure rates are much lower and less progress has been made. Further research is urgently needed.Cancer remains the number 1 cause of death by disease for children. Sadly, around 230 children die from cancer each year.
