Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have the major privilege of running the London Marathon this year for Refuge a charity which supports the victims of domestic violence. Refuge is committed to a world where domestic violence is not tolerated and where women and children can live in safety. Find out more at www.refuge.co.uk.

This my first London marathon and I am very excited and a little bit scared. I ran Halstead marathon last year so am keen to prove I am not a one hit wonder. London is a much bigger and more intimidating event so the incentive of raising funds for this great cause will no doubt help to spur me on. Please support me and Refuge with a donation of any amount. I am anxious to exceed my target and am confident that I will with your generosity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.
