Story
We may not be known for our sporting achievements, but a group of girls in Paris will be dusting off their trainers to run La Parisienne, a 6k run finishing at the Champs de Mars by the Eiffel Tower, on September 13th, 2009. Despite the relatively short distance, as inexperienced runners this is quite a challenge for us, so we really appreciate your support.
No better way to spend a Sunday morning... Allez les parisiennes!

Helping people affected by lymphatic cancers
Kate, Andrea, Aurélie, Rosie and Kristine will be running to raise money for the Lymphoma Association UK, which works to help sufferers of lymphomas, and provide invaluable support for their families. The charity funds specially-trained lymphoma nurses in a number of hospitals and research into cancers of the lymphatic system, as well as a network of support groups and a buddy system for patients. For families and friends, they run a helpline and provide essential information and support during difficult times.
About La Parisienne
The women-only race is now in its 14th year and was inspired by similar Anglo-Saxon events like the Race for Life, to encourage women to set themselves physical challenges and raise money in a less competitive atmosphere. A Euro from each participation fee is also donated to the struggle against breast cancer, via the French Foundation for Medical Reseach, so we are supporting two very worthwhile causes by taking part.
