In May 2017 at the age of 50 I started rowing.  As a blind person I initially had to row with other people.  For the last 18 months I have been rowing solo with my coach navigating me from the bank of the lake.  I have progressed to a fine single and now my challenge is to row myself from PCRC to the Dog in a Doublet pub and back again, a total of 20km.  I want to do this challenge for myself but also to hopefully raise some much needed funds to help the club improve facilities for all rowers who access the club.  Rowing has changed my life for the better and I would like to support the club which is run by volunteers and to show my appreciation for all the hours of support and encouragement I have received.
