Story
I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year. Please join the fight by digging deep and sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure.
I am running (or perhaps walking, waddling, crawling.. whatever it takes) this year because it feels like Cancer touches all of us in so many ways. Cancer has taken precious people in my life and for so many others. But when a few weeks back, my amazing Mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I decided enough is enough - we must beat cancer.
The wonderful doctors at Broomfield are very confident about her treatment and recovery so we are all feeling very positive. She is being very brave and I could not be more proud of my lovely Mum. I don't want anyone else to have to hear the news that they have got Cancer, or if they do, they need to be given the 100% confidence that it WILL BE CURED.
For those of you who know me, 'running' is not something I do if I can possibly avoid it (unless I am late in taking the kids to school...) so I shall dress in pink, probably with a giant tutu or something silly and try to do the 10k before it gets dark - wish me luck!
Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
