We support families affected by MSA to increase knowledge of this condition

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We want to support research into this devastating condition that has robbed our Dad of his quality of life by slowly damaging  the part of the brain that enables autonomic function. . Dad was a fit and active man in his 70s and within the space of a few years, has become resigned to his bed or wheelchair, relying solely on our amazingly strong mum to care for him. He has lost his mobility , his  ability to communicate fully and his normal breathing and eating function.

Despite all this, Dad has never lost his humour, wit and sheer determination to retain whatever mobility and strength he can. He is such an inspiration to us and now it’s our turn to inspire him by taking part in this half marathon with the hope of raising funds  to support research into MSA.
