I'm going to be braving the UK's most famous half-marathon, The Great North Run 2014. I decided I wanted to do this after my mum was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma last year and went through months of chemo and radiotherapy.

She is now in remission, thanks to the amazing treatment and care she was given. We couldn't be more grateful and now I want to pay it forward by raising money to help research and have a positive impact on other families going through the same thing.
