We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. The full cost of a guide dog from birth to retirement is about £50,000. The funds you raise go towards supporting that cost. Even as little as £10 can feed a guide dog for two weeks, £20 can buy them a bed. Guide Dogs's aim is to give blind and partially sighted people the same freedom of movement -and therefore quality of life - as everyone else.

I'm running the Great North Run for Guide Dogs this year, and I need you to help me raise £300 for this superb cause. 13.1 miles is a long way and I will definitely appreciate all of your support via your sponsorship. It will be worth all of the blood, sweat (lots of this) and tears to know that we have been able to help so many blind and partially sighted people with our support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Change a life.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
