Completed Challenges:

National Three Peaks Challenge in 24HRS - completed on Saturday 3rd September 2022 and raised a total of £10,000.

Myself and Daniel started our fundraising journey last summer, by taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 3rd September 2022 (within 24 hours), to raise as much money and awareness that we possibly could for Motor Neurones Disease. Our family was dealt the devastating news back in November 2020, that my Dad had developed this cruel disease, and since then he amazed us all with his grit and determination to fight it with all he had. He really did fight until the very end.

My Dad. The greatest man I know. Not just my Dad, but a loving husband, father in law, brother, uncle, friend, colleague, Granddad (to a poodle)...a true inspiration to so many people and not just me.

Unbeknown to most, my Dad was awarded an MBE back in 2012, in recognition for his commendable services to gas safety, in particular his 25 years to that date lobbying and canvassing support for gas safety issues, particularly around carbon monoxide. He'd been a trusted business man and achieved more than anyone I know - 47 years working in the gas industry in total. Starting out his career as a gas engineer and then becoming an MBE, WOW. He was a giver, always wanting to treat those he loves and see them smile. He was the biggest supporter, not just with his family but his friends and colleagues too. Chief BBQ'er and best Bielby breakfast ever - I think we all know where my love for a fine wine comes from too!

He often told me how proud he was of me but he doesn't even realise just how proud I am of him, now more than ever. Life can be cruel, and don't we know it. That old saying "it always happens to the good ones" has never seemed more true. If we could walk/run/climb every last mile/mountain time and time again we would, if it meant we could have cured my Dad and all those suffering with MND.

My Dad looked after me beyond belief since the day I was born, so it's my time now alongside my husband Daniel, to look out for him and all those affected by MND. We ask you to please dig deep, however big or small, and sponsor us throughout our fundraising journey. We greatly appreciate all donations and all money raised will help towards the fight to find a cure for MND.

Thank you SO much x
