We are doing a sponsored walk next month in Cumbria. It is 6 and a half miles of windy, rainy hill walking around Ennerdale water. Hopefully we will be with a large group of like minded people.

The walk is organised by the Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children's Fund, a charity which was set up by singer songwriter Francis Dunnery in memory of his parents. The fund donates money to help children in Cumbria with various health and educational needs. Donations have been given to hospitals, hospices, schools, nurseries and community projects as well as to individual families. The charity is run entirely by volunteers so every penny made goes to help the kids.

Our walk is part of a charity weekend when there will be a formal dinner, a table tennis competition and a concert by Francis and other artists.
