Story

This year the Foundation has TEN amazing fundraisers that will be taking part in this amazing race which guides participants through many of London's most famous landmarks including Nelson's Column, St Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey! The Matt Hampson Foundation provides expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice to people suffering a life-changing injury through sport. The Get Busy Living Centre is a unique facility which opened its doors in 2018 and is the brainchild of founder and former England and Leicester Tigers rugby player Matt Hampson, who himself experienced a life-changing injury in 2005 leaving him paralysed from the neck down, aged just 20.

The Matt Hampson Foundation gave Tim the chance to rediscover his love of cycling after a paralysing accident in June 2011 by giving him a handcycle. Tim raised money for the Foundation before in 2015 by handcycling 50 miles on his 50th birthday. He did this with many family and friends including his sister Kate and their nephew Cameron, who are both running this race with Tim on his 57th birthday!
