Story

I am swimming 22 miles to raise for this good cause. As most of you know I raise every year as my little cousin,Zoe Alexander has been very ill since being diagnosed as a type 1 insulin dependant.

I have 12 weeks to complete the 22 miles using my own prefered local swimming pool which is Greenacres, the pool length is 20 metres.

I have from 22nd February to 22nd May to get my 22 miles in and have worked out in my own calculation I will swim 15 lengths 10 times a week for the full 12 weeks.

I will be using the speedo app to calculate and keep track of all my swimming including a log card provided by Diabetes UK.

As you all know I ran the 10K London Run last year. My goal was £200 and I raised £250 with a huge thanks to all my friends and family.  The 10K run was tough but I got through it in just over an hour with my friend Sue Reed there running with me for support. I will be running the 10K again later this year in July....so come on guys I'm doing a double whammy here this year, swim then run!

Please please sponsor me to swim these 22 miles,I know it's spread over 12 weeks but that is still real dedication to cram 22 miles, which is 1770 lengths of the pool and I'm doing it all on my own,15 lengths before work and 15 lengths after work mon to Fri for 12 weeks, same routine, same pool with just myself to spur me on...so please please help me raise the £250!!

You can sponsor me on this 'just giving' page or I am carrying around with me a sponsor form. Feel free to join me for a swim or come say hi even for a bit of support!
