Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The West Highland Way stretches 96 miles (154 Km) from Milngavie to Fort William.Normally the route is completed from south to north, the thinking behind this being the southern stages are easier and will prepare you for the more demanding northern stages. However I will be starting at Fort William and walking south towards Milngavie and Glasgow over 4 days.
I am part of a group of young professionals on a mission to raise £40k by July 2019 for the NGO KISS, the Kiddies Support Scheme that supports children with access to education.
Since 1995, KISS has been successfully sponsoring Educational Work in Uganda all the way through education to college or university where possible. KISS has since also expanded to grow vocational groups and projects across Uganda, to support a wider range of people to improve their own quality of life.
Within the work KISS is doing, I am fundraising for the KISS Agriculture Project which encompasses the design, construction and operation of a new Agricultural Centre. This will include offices, accommodation and a training centre to teach new skills and knowledge to the community and created a platform where people can sell their produce for profit and become more self-sufficient. We believe this will enable them to build a better future for themselves, their families and their communities.
The support provided is not possible without funding, therefore our most important role is to raise funds. We are hoping to fundraise £5,000 by July 2018 and £40,000 by July 2019! Any donations you can spare will be significant!
