Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! Yes, we may well be mad but Toria and I are going to trek 125 km across the Sahara Desert to raise lots of money (-hopefully!) for the very worthwhile charity that is Help For Heroes. Help For Heroes helps our servicemen overseas and -given everything that they do for 'us' and our country- we thought that a "small trek" would be the least we could do to help make their lives a little easier!! We are trekking -with the help of some very helpful and dedicated soldiers and camels (!) - across the Sahara this November for 10 days starting on Saturday 14th November and finishing on Monday 23rd November. The trip will be as much about surviving the elements and rather dangerous wildlife as it will be about going the distance. We have been advised that this trip is not for the faint hearted: the temperatures in the desert will be extreme and there are lots of horrid reptiles and insects to watch out for!! Please donate as much as you can to to help us reach our target. We promise to take lots of photos and relay our fabulous travelling stories to you all when we get back, in return for your kindness.
