Story
Leave your national, religious and political alliances aside. Let's unite to help Kashmiri orphans.
So what are we doing, and why?
You all know we're not the typical, annoying 'help us raise for charity!' couple. In fact, we hardly ever pledge when we go to charity events or dinner (not because we're stingy! but because it's easier to donate yourself than it is to garner support for a cause sometimes).
But a few weeks ago Omar and I were invited to an inspiring Orphans in Need dinner and were heartbroken at learning of the plight of Kashmiri orphans.
Having travelled in Kashmir a few years ago, and discovering that Srinagar is actually home to my mother's ancestors, this cause is particularly close to my heart and, upon hearing about the prospects of a Kashmiri orphanage I instantly felt an urge to help the children I heard about.Kashmir is one of the world’s most impoverished countries torn apart by war, poverty and personal hardship. We want to give these kids a loving home and environment in which they can be nurtured and grow to be compassionate, successful and self-sovereign human beings.

Whatever you're doing, please donate to this cause. Throughout history, we've always recognised that charity does not decrease your wealth. However small or big donate generously today and help make a difference in the lives of innocent orphans.
