Story
In January I applied to the charity CoppaFeel for a place on their Tour Du Mont Blanc 5 day trek and camp through the French Alps together with Giovanna Fletcher.
I found out that out of thousands of applicants I am one of the 120 that has been given a place! On 10 September I’ll fly to Geneva to begin my 5 day trek.
Anyone that knows me will understand that I really do NOT do adventurous things, I’m a creature of habit and I love just being at home, but being diagnosed with cancer at such a young age makes me now push myself to take every opportunity to embrace all that life has to offer.
CoppaFeel exists to educate and remind every young person in the UK that checking their boobs could save their life. It saved mine!
With a breast cancer diagnosis early detection is key. If found early, breast cancer is very treatable and survival rates are higher.
Here’s where I need your help…To complete this trek I’ve pledged to raise £2,750.00 for Coppafeel.
Also, if anyone has any ideas to help fundraise or if you own a business and would be happy to make a donation to a raffle, I’d be so grateful. I’m thinking I could have a T shirt printed with the names of the businesses who make donations and I’ll wear it on my trek for you to see, some international advertising 😎🤣
I’ve also linked Coppafeel’s website below which gives lots of helpful advice and you can even sign up for a monthly reminder to check your breasts!
