Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

With only 5 weeks left to go I though I would add a quick update to my page.

The long runs and training are taking their toll and the nerves are setting in. I just want this all to be over now. I have managed to make it to 19.5 miles and I am hoping to get one more slightly longer run in before the big day.

What keeps me going is the massive amount of support I have, and am receiving from people in so many different ways. I am hugely touched by the very generous donations from everyone that just keep on coming in. Every time I receive a donation I am completely buoyed up and even more determined.

I have had 2 very dedicated friends that have been running the last 6 miles of my long runs with me for weeks now and will continue to do so to the end. Many people have had to listen to me falter and moan on a regular basis about how I am 'never going to be able to do this' and generally put up with me being tired and absent a lot of the time.

Now, I am now lucky enough to have the support of my work behind me. Clear Cut hold an annual charity quiz night and this year they have chosen 'Kith and Kids'. This event will see all our staff and so many of our clients come together to have a fun night but to raise more money for such a brilliant charity - Thank you Clear Cut for your support.

This has been a crazy journey and I am so grateful for everyone's support - Thank you!

*********************************************************************

Running the London Marathon is something that has been on my bucket list for a while but due to a number of factors and just life in general,  it hasn’t happened.

I have decided that this year is the year. Otherwise I shall be too old and my knees give up on me completely.

In order to make a full commitment and not chicken out at the last minute (which I already feel like I want to do!), I needed to run for a charity.

I did some research and looked at a number of charities and decided I wanted to run for a) a local smaller charity and b) for a charity that means something to me in some area of my life. Kith and Kids is certainly that.

Please take the time to look at thier web page and the amazing work that they do for so many and please please please please please ,donate as much as you can to a really worth while cause.

Later on I shall be running to the charity to get some photos to show the fantastic team who work so hard there.

I am not running until April 2019 and s my birthday has now passed, I am asking for Xmas donations and any donations really.

I am hugely scared of this massive challenge ahead and the hours of training it is going to take and your support  will make all the difference to that.

Thank you all in advance and closer to the time I shall be bugging you to be there on the day.

Much love Karla
