Story
As most of you know I’m on a quest to complete all the World Marathon Majors (having completed Berlin/London/Chicago/Boston & Tokyo) and although I’ve completed London 4 times in recent years (2014/2015/2017/2019), the lure of running in arguably the world’s greatest marathon is too difficult to ignore.
In 2021 I am very proud to be running in support of SSAFA in tribute as always to my dear and very much missed (by so many) little Brother Lloydy. This year on 16th June it will be the 10th Anniversary since Lloydy was KIA and I'm planning on a few events in the year, to celebrate him and the life that he led.
I will be running 4 marathons at the moment beginning with my 6th Milton Keynes Marathon in June and following that in the Autumn with my 5th London, my 3rd Manchester a week later and at the beginning of November completing my World Marathon Majors Six Star Journey in New York (fingers crossed)!
You will know that Lloydy was killed in 2011 whilst on operations in Afghanistan. He loved his job, and made the ultimate sacrifice doing it. His passing left an enormous hole in the life's and hearts of all who knew and loved him and he still continues to inspire so many.
This year I’ve renewed focus to push even harder, to achieve even more. I have some big personal goals as well as some fantastic challenges through my Black Sheep Project for others to test themselves against.
The Black Sheep events we put on will always be free, the aim to raise as much as we can. I had a dream that we would get to the £100k for charity & that still remains, this year all funds raised through the events will go to SSAFA the Armed Forces charity.
I can't thank you all enough for the support I have been constantly shown, but please if you can, help me again to try and make a small difference. Please donate and celebrate a true hero, my little brother.
As always I will be constantly updating my 'blog on the bog' to keep you up to date with training and the misery of doing so during the winter: -
