Story
Brittney and I are running the Vitality Big Half Marathon on March 1 to raise a total of $740 for the charity organization Wild Welfare!
We chose them our as our charity because they provide a much needed support to less fortunate zoos and wildlife parks all over the world as well as confront various issues concerning the use of wild or exotic animals. Specifically, Wild Welfare regularly partners up with various institutions to provide their own advice and expertise concerning veterinary care, husbandry practices, and/or animal enrichment or will connect them with another leading zoo or park to exchange training workshops or ideas.
As someone who is training to be a veterinarian and has always had a keen interest in wildlife and exotic animals I have a lot of passion for these organizations that go to great lengths to conserve the amazing wildlife diversity on this planet as well as to educate and inspire new generations. I personally don't know if I would be going to into the career I love today if it were not for the exposure and the cultivated connection I obtained from the animals at various zoos and wildlife centers growing up.
I highly encourage a glance at their website to check out what they have accomplished just this past year as its quite varied but all very exciting.
