Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello
As many of you will be aware, last year I was diagnosed with a Pituitary Tumour, which was successfully removed in late July at Southampton Hospital by the very talented Neurosurgeons. That is just one part of the story though. It was a very lonely, scary and overwhelming year of my life and whilst my close friends and Family were my rocks, I really wouldn't have coped without the support of the Pituitary Foundation, it's staff, volunteers and the community on the Forums who have suffered similar conditions like myself.
So I am taking part in the Bournemouth 10k and taking this opportunity to give something back to this Charity that is very close to my heart. As with all charities, they can't carry on the great work they do without support, so I really appreciate any donations you can make as anything you can spare really will make a difference. It is quite a rare condition and very little is known in the Public Domain about Pituitary conditions, so any awareness I can help promote is also a Bonus.
Thank you all so much
Karlos
