Story
As Most of you know I treat my body like a temple, if that temple was a medieval ruin ravaged by kebabs and excessive amounts of alcohol. So from the 1st January until 26th March (and probably beyond) I will be taking part in the East Cheshire Hospice £ for lbs challenge!!! #newyearnewme
Lets have it right cancer is an utter bastard and if I can raise a few quid by hopping on a bacon slicer for 12 weeks to help fund our local hospice then so be it. Please give generously i know its been a shit year and asking for money in December/January is like asking me for a chip but please give what you can and I'll try and post some funny content along the way. And just in case you weren't aware of the hospices work then please read the following (See you in March when I'll be like a racing snake) Also if I don't lose my goal amount (to be confirmed Jan 1st after discussions with a PT and nutritionist) I will personally double the amount raised out of my own pocket!!!
Since 1988, East Cheshire Hospice has been caring for people suffering from life-limiting illnesses. We put our patients, their carers and families at the centre of everything we do, and our expert medical treatment is only the start of the holistic care we provide.
We prioritise each patient’s needs and wishes, aiming to improve overall quality of life with practical assistance, emotional and spiritual support. At a time when family is so important, we also support carers and relatives with social and family services, counselling, complementary therapies and much more.
All of our services are provided free of charge to those who need them. However, only 17% of our funding is from the government and the remainder is donated by the communities we serve: Buxton, Congleton, High Legh, High Peak, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Poynton, Wilmslow and everywhere in between.
