We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thank you for visiting my Shine fundraising page in support of lung cancer research. Please dig deep and sponsor me – it’s quick, easy and totally secure.

Some of you may know that my uncle passed away from lung cancer earlier this year. There was little we could do for him to help, so I decided to set myself a challenge to raise some money for lung cancer research. I know from my time in research how the CRUK grants are used and how dedicated and hard sponsored scientists work. So I am going to walk my first marathon - all 42.19 km - through London over night and hope to raise a pound for every 100 meters. Please sponsor me - and come and cheer along the way if you can!

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers, with around 108 people being diagnosed every day in the UK. Sadly, progress in helping people with lung cancer survive has been slower than for some other cancer types. Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by amazing supporters like you. By sponsoring me you can help more people survive lung cancer.

Gift Aid it! If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support  - you're amazing!

Together we will beat cancer.
