I'm running the London Landmarks Half Marathon with such fond memories of a very special lady, Valerie Stock, an incredible, wonderful Mum & Nan who is so missed.

Since deciding to run on behalf of Bowel & Cancer Research my Dad became unwell with a twisted bowel. As I write my story my Dad is recovering from major emergency surgery and I have no doubt that, at some stage, research was carried out to enable my Dads' successful & positive outcome.

So I am now also running for my wonderful Dad who I love lots and am very proud of, he has been so strong and incredibly brave.

Since taking on this challenge and talking to people, I have found that so many peoples' lives have been affected by either bowel cancer, bowel disease or chronic bowel disorders such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, for which there are currently no cures.

Thank you so much for reading my story and supporting me to raise vital funds for Bowel & Cancer Research who look forward to a day when no one will die of bowel cancer or have to live with chronic bowel disease.

And a big thank you to my wonderful family who are so encouraging and supportive and putting up with me when I'm tired from a long early morning run - I couldn't do it without you all.
