Story
I have lived with a type of blood cancer for around 20 years. In October 2018 we found out it had progressed to Myelofibrosis and my medication was changed. Sadly it didn't work and really the only sensible option left was to have a stem cell (bone marrow) transplant while I was still relatively fit and healthy and before any progression to Leukemia. There is between 50-60% chance that the transplant will cure me.
I would like to encourage anyone that can, to sign up and do the cheek swab test, you may be a match someone with a life threatening condition like mine.

It costs £40 to register just one potential blood stem cell donor. Please consider making a donation to DKMS as your donation, no matter the size, will make a difference today! Every single penny received will go towards the cost of registering new potential donors.
