Thanks to all those who have encouraged me and donated towards my weight loss program to raise funds for East Berkshire Women's Aid.
Your donation is much appreciated and will help in many ways in assisting these vulnerable families.
My aim was to lose up to 4 stones; 56 lbs or 25.4 kgs by mid December 2008.
I have followed a healthy eating programme and an exercise regime of jogging, swimming, walking and working out at the gym, on an average of four times per week. I have also participated in the 13 miles Maidenhead Boundary Walk [4 hours in the rain!] on 5th October and ran the 10k Dorney Lake Cancer Research Race on 26th October in 1 hour and 16 minutes. http://www.run10ksponsorme.org/karenroach1. On the 22nd March 2009 I also RAN in the Water of Life Half Marathon [between Marlow & Henley].
Many thanks to my local health and fitness club - Langley Leisure Centre, Parlaunt Road, Langley, Berkshire for contributing to this cause, by offering me free membership to all facilities including the gym and swimming pool. Special thanks to Luke Hughes - my personal trainer at Langley Leisure Centre who has encourage me in getting this far, especially in taking up running and participating in the 10K run for Cancer Research. http://www.synergyclubs.co.uk/langley.html
