Guatemala is a country with a sad history, a history that has resulted in many children finding their home on the streets.

Street Kids Direct is committed to, and passionate about loving and serving street kids and to see this need to live on the streets come to an end. They partner with other organisations on the ground such as schools, social services and children’s homes and work with them to offer love and support to the children on the streets. Alongside that, Street Kids Direct understand the value in going out onto the streets and just befriending those who find themselves there.

We are looking to raise £3,600 (£1,800 each) to enable us to go on a volunteer trip to Guatemala, with The Forge Church, to work with Street Kids Direct.

In order to raise money for this trip, we have committed to (try to!) complete a 100k (62 mile) cycle ride on 11th June 2023. This is further than either of us have ever cycled before.

We are grateful for any donation you are able to make and will keep you posted when we dust the cobwebs off our bikes, and begin to start 'training' for this epic ride.

EDIT: We have now completed that EPIC bike ride, it was 30 degrees and tough, but knowing what we were riding for kept us going!

We are still continuing to raise funds to help with the cost of this trip, so anything you are able to give will be very gratefully received. ❤️
