Story
This year, I wanted to do something extreme, for an extremely important cause. What better than a skydive?
As many of you know, my brother Phillip passed away on the 8th April this year after a short battle with skin cancer. He was only 42 and his loss has caused much heartache for all of our family and his friends. Having felt pretty helpless throughout Phil's illness and his passing , I have decided to help raise funds for the hospice who provided such brilliant care and support for Phil both during his treatment and in his final days. The hospice do such wonderful work and are still continuing to help our family all these months on. Doing a skydive has never really been on my list of things to do but when I saw this opportunity it felt right to do something in Phil's memory that he would thoroughly approve of. Phil was always the adventurous and daring one in our family and I know he loved the skydive he did in Dubai a few years ago so doing this skydive to raise money for the Hospice seems very fitting. I might regret this when I'm leaning out of the plane at 15,000 feet but by then it will be too late!!
So, I'll be taking the plunge in aid of local hospice charity, Hospiscare. Hospiscare provide support for terminally ill patients and their families acwross Exeter, Mid and East Devon. If you or a loved one have ever been faced with a terminal diagnosis, you know just how difficult it can be but Hospiscare is here to help. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can. Spread the word by sharing my page with family and friends, too. Your donation and support can really make a difference. Thank you!
