Story

Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides a holistic and individualised approach in a safe and caring environment, to give exceptional specialist palliative care to patients and families with life limiting illnesses - supporting them to live their lives, with dignity, kindness and compassion.

No one thinks of these wonderful people until they need them; when you do they are the lighthouse showing you the way to go.

In January 2020 my husband John lost his battle with cancer; defeating a CNS lymphoma in 2017, an unrelated stomach cancer two years later was too much and he passed away peacefully in the care of the Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

The kindness, care and support given to my beloved late husband in the last few months of his life was incredible, providing a sense of safety in a very difficult time. This care also extended to myself and our daughters, making the unbearable, bearable.

Almost a year later and their support for myself is still ongoing, helping me in this new life.

Every penny the Hospice receives helps another person and their family in the darkest of times, I wish to raise as much as possible for this magnificent cause.

Karen xx
