Progress so far....
10th September - THE FINAL PUSH
So here we are - the day before, ready and raring to go. Filber made sure the final week was well used and has quite literally walked me "up hill and down dale". In theory, I should be ready for anything, so here goes!!
5th September - ONE WEEK TO GO!
Filber has been working me very hard and we have taken some interesting walks. For the final week, he has decided that we need to up the ante, so he is taking us to the Lake District, where he promises plenty of hill walking to make sure we're ready for the ups and downs of Bath's fascinating streets.
11 August - One month to go. Training is going well. It's amazing how enthusiastic my 'personal trainer' is in getting me out and about, and strangely, my trips always seem to involve places where there are lots of trees, bushes and 'sniffy places'. Still, my walking shoes are well worn in. At the end of the week I will be taking my first trial on pavement - that will be interesting.
16 July - Thanks to everyone who has so generously donated so far - already half way towards my target! Would be fantastic to go right past it. :-)
13 July - Today, Filber took me for a walk around Barbury Castle (3.5 miles) - he told me it would be good practice. So, I managed 3.5 miles in an hour and 40 minutes - Filber did an extra couple of miles as he ran round sniffing everything in sight.
