Story
Myself and a group of other enthusiastic; maybe slightly crazy individuals have collectively decided to challenge ourselves and are hiking to the summit of the highest mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal to raise money for Reubens Retreat. Toubkal’s summit is 4167 meters above sea level and is the highest summit of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. We’ll be hiking for 3 consecutive days, at high altitude and over tough terrain sleeping in tents on the mountainside, sharing basic food and facilities. It’s going to be hard work and (hopefully) an amazing adventure.
Reubens Retreat was founded in August 2012, just 2 days after Reuben Graham died aged just 23 months old. His Mummy Nicola created the charity to help others who are facing or already dealing with similar heartbreak, walking side-by-side with families offering emotional and practical support for parents and siblings bereaved of a child and for families of life limited or threatened children who face uncertain futures. To find out more about this incredible charity, please visit their website www.reubensretreat.org or social media channels.
