On the 2 February my mum called to say she was going in to hospital. The next day she was told the devastating news that she had terminal bowel cancer which she must have had a while. On the 18 February she died peacefully in hospital. It was so shocking that mum had no idea she had this condition until it was this advanced. I am riding the Prudential ride in memory of my wonderful mum who died so quickly and leaves a huge hole in our lives. I do not want other families to go through this and so I want everyone to be able to recognise symptoms of bowel cancer so that the disease is caught early enough.
