We provide specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I retired as Chief Executive of Wycombe District Council, after 13 years, at the end of July. As part of my leaving present, my wonderful colleagues gave me a skydive - and in case you were wondering, yes I had requested it! I had planned to do a skydive in my student days but chickened out at the last minute because I was too scared. This time I will still be terrified, but if you're all sponsoring me, it will spur me on to actually make the leap and overcome my fear!

I want to use this amazing experience to help others like my dear mum Beryl, who suffered the increasing indignity of dementia for many years. She was a lovely lady with a great sense of humour and I know if she was still with us, would be rooting for me to succeed. I hope you will be too.

I will be doing my jump on Wednesday 18th September and I hope you will be as generous as you can in your sponsorship. Dementia is an awful condition to which any of us could fall prey and which has no cure or effective treatment.
