Thanks for taking the time to visit Nathan’s JustGiving page.
On July 16th Nathan is taking part in the Durham City Run Festival. He will be running in the ‘Run Like a Legend’ 1 mile race to raise money for St Cuthbert’s Hospice in memory of his Dad Andy. My cousin Helen has very kindly offered to run alongside Nathan.
“My Dad loved running just like me but I could never beat him in a race. He ran 10k’s and the Great North Run to help raise money for St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
St Cuthbert’s looked after my Grandad when he was very poorly. I never even got a chance to meet him but my Mum tells me about him. Then when my Dad got cancer, the hospice helped to look after him too.
Since my Dad isn’t here anymore I am going to repay their kindness by doing the one thing I do best… RUNNING!!” Nathan Rennison
Throughout his illness, St Cuthbert’s helped Andy with his pain management and symptom control. They gave him weekly reiki sessions as well as regular counselling and emotional support at their ‘Living Well Centre’. Their ‘In-Patient Unit’ provided end of life care to both Andy and my Dad.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help St Cuthbert’s dedicated staff and volunteers continue to do what they do best… offering care and support to those with life limiting or terminal illnesses.
Thank you for reading. Please visit their website to find out more about the wonderful work St Cuthbert’s do.
