Its been 4yrs now since my mastectomy, & thanks to finding things early, I only needed the surgery. I was one of the lucky ones! Breastcancer care helped me at that time by giving lots of no nonsense information to enable both myself & the family cope. I especially remember the lady from the charity who was there when I was told the news. Thinking that I might never see another Christmas (it was only a week away), this kind lady, gave me a cup of tea, held my hand, & explained that she had been diagnosed, like me, she went through surgery, as I was going to have to, but 30yrs ago & she was still going strong! Those few kind words of encouragement gave me hope, & I will never forget it.

Being diagnosed is a right kick in the teeth, but charities like Prostate & Breastcancer care do tremendous work for those that are, so please help.

I'm all better now & want to give something back.
