As a mum I've been very lucky to raise my son through adolescence and into adulthood. I can't imagine the heartbreak of experiencing your child being struck down with Cancer at all let alone as a teenager.

I've set myself this goal to prove to myself I am physically strong enough and determined enough to complete the run but I feel this isn't a patch on what parents, relatives, friends and the teenager themselves must have to endure when hit with a Cancer diagnosis.
