I know they say that 1 in 3 of us are effected by cancer. Until relatively recently, this seemed like a distant statistic. But having seen a close school friend deal with skin cancer, a work colleague lose her battle within 3 months of diagnosis & my own Father "Kenny Beevers" to those who know him well, be successfully treated for prostrate cancer; I felt it about time to shake of the maternity weight & raise some money /awareness for this worthy cause. 

So please dig as deep as the pain I will feel. For those who feel this will be a walk in the park for me....I would remind you it was 6 years since the last half marathon & I am now the wrong side of 35!.........
