Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for The Princess Alice Hospice in memory of my stepdad Hugh, he was diagnosed with cancer in October 2012 and passed away on 2nd February 2013, I started running as part of my weight loss programme in October by following the couch to 10k App on my phone, Hugh was very proud of my achievement , so far now I have lost 43Lb and still losing. I completed the 10k training on the 2nd February (the day he died), so I know he was watching me finally complete my challenge. So I decided to put my new skill to some use and run for the Hospice that were so wonderful to him and my Mum , they gave Hugh such great care and allowed him to live his last days with dignity and as comfortable as possible, they gave my mum and us as a family wonderful support .

The Princess Alice Hospice needs your help, the average cost of one day of care in their in-patient unit is £498, a home visit is £98

.
