Story
After a emotional few weeks with friends and family passing away, I needed something to look forward to and a challenge, lets face it I'm NEVER going to run a marathon no matter how many times Tracy asks, I am the one that does the massage at the end!
This charity is close to my heart, not only because I get to work with such lovely people providing therapies (maybe next year again) to help them relax and take time for themselves on special days of the year, but also because many of the clients I work with and have worked with, both men and women, have allowed me in to share and support them through their journey to parenthood, through both good times and harrowing times for which I am forever grateful and humbled by. I wish I could take their pain away but sadly I can't but I can give them time and a safe space to relax or take time out. While I haven't suffered a loss family members and close friends have.
Sadly the support that Held in Our Hearts offers is not offered by mainstream medicine and is left to charities, such as this one, to pick up the pieces and to allow life continue when grief is all consuming for all the family including the extended family.
Miscarriage and stillbirth are still not talked about and we need to breakdown these barriers to allow people to talk about it, more people than you realise have been through a loss. Find out more about it and help start the conversation to breakdown these barriers. By sponsoring me you are helping to support others and get a conversation going.
A million thank yous for supporting me and Held in Our Hearts
Thanks
Karen
PS I hope the coals aren't too hot xx
