As many of you may or may not know I lost my very dear brother in law Michael to cancer recently.  Fairleigh Hospice helped make his last couple of days extremely comfortable. 

I have decided to participate in their Walk for Life as this particular charity is very close to my heart and I will be doing the walk with Mick's children Gary and Jeanette.   Seventeen years ago I lost my Mum to the same evil disease so I know what they are going through. 

I doubt there are many of you reading this that haven't lost someone dear or a close relative to cancer.  Fairleigh rely on donations to keep the hospice up and running.  There are empty rooms due to lack of funding - lets try and get some of those rooms operational!  Every penny helps - please please take time to have a look at the website http://www.farleigh.org/home.cfm and support me and my family on this emotional trek.  We've signed up for the 25.1km which is approximately 13.5 miles and 45,250 steps!!!!  If only we could raise a pound for every step!!!!  Wouldn't that make Mick so very proud.
