Story
I'm taking part in the Southern Area Hospice Services' Midnight Memory walk in memory of my Daddy, Liam, who we lost on 4th December 2020.
By doing so, I hope that I can in some way give back to the Hospice that gave my Daddy such exceptional care, and gave my family and I much needed support in Daddy's final days.
The staff at the Hospice are truly angels walking, and I cannot thank them enough.
For the past 13 years Southern Area Hospice Services' Midnight Memory Walk has seen hundreds of people take to the streets of Newry under the stars to complete a 6KM walk through Midnight in memory of their loved ones. Every year this event is greatly supported by the local community, and helps to raise funds which enable the Hospice to continue providing their much-needed services. This year, walkers can either join the evening event, departing from St Colmans College Newry or can take part virtually. As I complete my walk, whether it be on the evening or virtually, the Hospice nurses and staff will be working too. Please consider sponsoring my midnight memory walk this year by donating what you can to help support our local hospice when they need it most. Any amount donated will make a great difference.Your support will ensure that every single member of the Hospice team continue to make sure the patients and their families can make the most of every single day!Thank you!
