Story
It is in great sadness to be raising money in my Mum, Karen’s memory who lost her Heroic battle to cancer on Wednesday 28th September 2022.
Mum was the best friend not only to humans but all animals, with a particular special place in her heart for Fox’s.
Mum without fail would put food out for the Fox’s and badgers each night, even making trips to the shops to buy eggs and bread.
She often called the Fox project to report Fox’s in distress and need of help, with one of her last calls being to report a fox injured on the tracks at Chelsfield station, which she spotted on her way up to London for a medical appointment.
As a family we thank you for your generous donation, however big or small and know that Mum would be so grateful and happy knowing that many more fox’s in the future will be able to be helped and saved.
Thank you
In the beginning, The Fox Project was a small shed in a back garden where two or three fox cubs might be under care. Fast forward 30 years and you find us spread over multiple sites with an annual rescue total of over 1,000 foxes. The organisation currently revolves around our hospital unit in Broadwater Forest near Tunbridge Wells and our cub unit at Pembury, but capacity is reaching its limit. Building a new hospital would allow us to expand and bring together both units with a small office, overnight staff quarters, storage space and a workshop. We hope youll feel able to support this project. All donations made through this Just Giving appeal will be designated specifically for our hospital fund and dont forget, if youre a UK taxpayer, to sign up for Gift Aid. That way, we can claim a further 25% of your donation from the government and that brings us 25% nearer to our ambitions.
