Story
On Friday evening 12Th October I sat in the bath, getting ready to take the kid out to dinner to celebrate the first week in my new job and found a lump under my arm. On Monday I phoned the doctors and after a little word with the doctors receptionist, I managed to get an appointment for that week, well with a family history of breast cancer going back two generations it's vital to get it checked out.
On Friday 26Th October I went to the Glenfield for my appointment and ended up having a mammograme, ultra sound scan with showed two lumps a FNI and a biopsy.
On Friday 2nd of November 2012 I was called back to be told that I have breast cancer and also a benign tumur, and that I needed some further scan's two of these have now being done although they don't know where the original cancer started. I should be having a PET scan to find out and will be starting Chemo next week, and it's complecated in my case as the cancer is in the anxilla, which is high up in the breast tissue, it is 13cm long and very aggressive, they also don't know how it respondes, they have their work cut out and I have a long way to go so dig deep peeps, and keep reading love to you all Karen xxxxxxxx
