With fundraising events cancelled and no clear indication of when we can open our shops or how long it will take them to return to normal trading, Thorpe Hall Hospice anticipate a funding gap of £1.6m for this financial year.

Story

In April this year I lost my dear friend, Louise Coles. Louise was my friend for 48 years and at 58 years old after just starting her fight against cancer she sadly passed away after catching coronavirus probably when attending her appointment for radiotherapy treatment. Louise was committed to supporting people in need and fundraising was a large part of her life. Before her death she raised awareness of the difficult time Thorpe Hall, her local hospice was having as a direct consequence of the virus . Hospice care is essential for providing emotional support as well as specialist medical care to people who are finding themselves in unimaginably difficult circumstances. Louise’s death like others has devastated her family and friends and I am asking you to give whatever you can afford at this difficult time. Every pound you give could make the difference to whether the hospice can continue and I know Louise is somewhere cheering me on.
