Story
Four Borders Lasses walking daily and recording our steps in support of Doddie Aid. Myself and Amy are from the Borders, but living in South Wales 25 years and are missing meeting up with our Bestie, Jane who lives in the Borders, and Mum Doreen who has also joined us, so we have decided to team up for some virtual walks and raise some funds for the absolutely inspirational Borders Lad Doddie Weir. Doddies an absolute legend and his cheery attitude to life is something we should all aspire to.
If you can donate in any way, no matter how small we would be delighted. All three of us have donated to other causes to support many different causes. I’ve donated £300+ to just giving charities alone. So this time we are asking for YOUR support.
Doddie's story has touched the rugby world. To fearlessly face down his diagnosis and raise £7 million in 3 years for MND research has been mind blowing. And to have done it with smile never far from his lips, and humour punctuating every call to action, Doddie does inspire. #DoddieAID is a way for us all to do our little bit to help him in his quest to find better treatments for this awful condition, and Doddie being Doddie, we hope it is going to be a lot of fun.Doddie AID is an Inter-District exercise challenge running through January until the Calcutta Cup KO. Any exercise counts, and your miles can be logged into your personal total on the trac4good app. And it also goes into your District team total. Come the 6th February 2021, we will see which District has logged the most miles. Though there are a few other criteria to the competition too, such as Conversions! See www.doddieAID.com for all the details and to join in.
