Story

Hi everyone! My name is Karen, and on the 9th of July 2023, I will be doing a skydive in memory of my grandfather, Terry McGovern who passed away last June.

Last April my grandad was diagnosed with cancer, and quickly found out it had spread and was terminal. Unfortunately he didn’t have long left, and a few of those weeks were spent in the southern area hospice in Newry. Although he was only there for a few weeks, the service provided was second to none! The staff were incredible, and provided a huge amount of support to my family through such a difficult time.

I want to raise as much as possible to help support this amazing charity so they can continue doing what they do, and support other families like mine. Every single penny counts, so no donation is too small! I understand not everyone may be able to donate, so please, if you can share this so it reaches as many people as possible who may be able to donate, it would be greatly appreciated!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
