Story

In August 2009 my mum discovered she had breast cancer. She went through surgery and radiotherapy.Thankfully she has made a great recovery.

Then out of the blue, in October 2009, I was also diagnosed with breast cancer. As somebody who has always exercised and lead a healthy lifestyle, it was a great shock for me. Nothing prepares you for the news that you have got cancer. My family and friends helped me through that very difficult time.

All the staff at Leeds Infirmary and St. James' were superb. I had surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The care I received was amazing. I am now back to full health and feel ready to help other women who hear the news that they have cancer too.

I love cycling so it made sense to raise money whilst riding my bike. I will be joining other women riding 350km in India to raise money for Women v. Cancer. This is an Action for Charity organised event and I have to raise a minimum of £2,800.

I hope you enjoy reading my fundraising stories.

If you are able to donate a small amount that would be really appreciated!
